AI POLICY
AI is everywhere.
Generative AI (WHAT I MEAN BY THIS) has been proven to be an environmental drain, built on stolen art, and exploitative of people in Kenya and others in the majority world. The hype is designed to benefit tech bro CEOs and to make the rest of us pay the price, literally and otherwise.
If you’re generating stuff with ChatGPT or whatever you’re creating a sludgy average of everything and tbh I think you’re better than that and I hope you do too.
Alsoooo I don’t use AI in my editing.
I do not edit manuscripts that make use of generative AI. It robs you of your creativity.
Note that tools like spellcheck, Grammarly(?), and others, while AI in some way, are not considered generative AI. You can use it in your writing process and I’d be happy to work with you.
